Hayley Hazel Aspects

Hayley Edwards MChiro DC

Hayley, originally from Somerset, first moved to Bristol in 2003 to embark on a Bachelor of Science degree in Anatomical Science at the University of Bristol. It was during this time that she first discovered chiropractic and realised it was the perfect hands-on, holistic approach to health care she was looking for. She quickly transferred to the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth and successfully completed the four year Master of chiropractic degree.

During this time she was chosen to work in a satellite clinic on the Bournemouth University campus treating competitive athletes with sports injuries. She also received an award for the presentation of her research into the effect of chiropractic treatment on patients with lumbar disc protrusion at the chiropractic, osteopathy and physiotherapy annual research conference.

Upon graduating Hayley has continued her professional development attending courses in dry needling, rehabilitation and sacro-occipital technique (SOT) including cranial and extremity joint adjusting techniques.

Hayley enjoys treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal complaints in patients of all ages, including paediatrics. She has a special interest in sports related injuries and rehabilitation.

Hazel Bugler, MChiro, BSc HONS, PGCert, MCC, DC

Bristol born and bred Hazel first became interested in the health industry when she started working as a fitness instructor at health club in Bristol city centre.  During this time she became a qualified personal trainer and started teaching classes such as Body pump, Body balance and Spin.

Whilst continuing this work, she also embarked on a Bachelor Honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science at The University of Bath.  During this course Hazel found particular interest in physiology and the human body and so rather than pursuing her career in the fitness industry, she looked to develop her knowledge in a more hands-on approach to health.  After successfully graduating Hazel then took a year out to travel the world and observe different practitioners in the healthcare industry.  For Hazel, Chiropractic was the obvious choice because of its ethos of looking to underlying cause of problem and utilising a non-invasive, non-pharmacological approach. Returning to the UK she embarked on a four year Masters of Chiropractic degree at the Anglo European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth.

During these 4 years Hazel worked as the rehabilitation supervisor and receptionist in the treatment clinic located at the college and lectured for Bournemouth University on the Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation degree course.  In her final year treating Hazel was chosen to also treat in the satellite clinic based at university which was primarily focused on competitive sporting athletes.  On graduating with distinction Hazel returned to Bristol and started working as a Chiropractor at THE Medical.

Hazel's treatment approach combines traditional chiropractic adjusting with soft tissue techniques, dry needling and rehabilitation exercises.  In particular, she enjoys treating sporting injuries utilising her knowledge from her previous degree and fitness instructing.  Hazel has continued her professional development through obtaining a distinction in Post Graduate Certificate in Chiropractic and passing ICSSD International Sports Diploma which allows her to treat at national and international sporting events.

Hazel is now the Managing Director of THE Medical splitting her time between treating and running the two clinics.  She still has a great interest in travelling and wherever possible takes long weekends away throughout the year visiting friends and exploring new places.
